No Doğan move on Greek lottery

Doğan Holding announced to the Istanbul Stock Exchange yesterday that it had not made a decision on whether or not it would enter a bid in the tender for the privatization of the Greek lottery as had been conveyed by the media.“Some media sources over the weekend announced we were interested in acquiring a 29 percent stake in the privatization tender for the Greek Lottery with a Greek partner. As a holding company, we are always interested in evaluating investment opportunities both in Turkey and abroad, especially in the areas in which we have interests. Therefore, if Greece holds a tender for the privatization of its lottery, we may evaluate the opportunity. That said, without having seen the tender specifications, we have not made any decisions as to whether or not to participate in the tender,” read the written announcement.
Doğan Holding also said that in the event that they did decide to participate in the tender, the company would issue a “Special Situation Announcement.”
