Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) leader Devlet Bahçeli has harshly criticized the government over the ongoing peace process, accusing them of having the “church in their heart.”

“They have the church in their heart, the mosque in their language. Having a separatist spirit, to be separatist, is catching the spirit of the time and part of modernism according to them,” said Bahçeli during his party’s parliamentary group meeting in Ankara today.

“Does Prime Minister [Recep Tayyip] Erdoğan not know that destroying the republic, dividing Turkey into ethnic geographic regions, shattering our order is insult, hatred and rampage,” said Bahçeli.
