BALIKESİR - Doğan News Agency
Dinçer said she had become the sponsor of AIMA to support its international education in the field of music, pave the way for young talent and contribute to the development of arts and culture in Ayvalık.
AIMA was founded 13 years ago by Filiz Ali, daughter of late writer Sabahattin Ali. Director Filiz Ali said Dinçer’s support was a very big contribution to the education of young and talented people.
For 12 years, music master classes were held every year during the summer and fall in Ayvalik, focusing mostly on string instruments. Students from Turkey, Europe and even as far away as New Zealand have been gathering together for eight to 10 days of intense studying, practicing and performing with the internationally distinguished faculty at this beautiful Aegean coastal town.
Since 2005 other workshops and master classes have been held in the music academy, including guitar master classes, composition workshops and piano master classes. Public concerts are organized during winter.
