More Israelis visit Antalya this year

The number of Israelis choosing to visit the southern province of Antalya has seen an increase recently, according to a written statement made by the Antalya Trade Chamber (ATSO) President Çetin Osman Budak.

Budak said the number of Israeli visitors to Antalya was 13,787 in March 2010, which decreased to 1,067 in the same month of 2011 and just 363 in March 2012. “This year in March, the number increased to 4,117 in Antalya,” he said.

“The first signal of this return was given in February. The number of Israeli tourists was only 12 in February last year, but it reached 1,221 this year. There is also an increase in the number of Israeli visitors to Turkey generally. The number of Israeli visitors to the whole of Turkey has risen 82 percent compared to the same period last year,” he said.
