ANKARA
Two suspects of a musician’s murder in capital Ankara working in the Labor and Social Security Ministry have been dismissed from public service, the ministry has announced.
“İlker Karakaş and Ali Gündüz, who were found to be related to the incident, were appointed to public duty as assistant labor inspectors in 2012 according to the results of the written and oral exams conducted by our ministry and KPSS, public personnel selection examination” the ministry stated.
Pointing out that the suspects do not have any administrative duties, the ministry said that apart from ongoing judicial process, the necessary investigation has been initiated and that the suspects have been dismissed from public service.

In the first testimonies of suspects, Gündüz and Soyalp blamed Karakaş for the murder of the musician while he rejected the claims.
The incident has drawn huge reactions from the public while messages of condolence poured in from social media accounts.
