Mickelson slipped to number three after finishing HSBC Champions in joint eighth place on Monday, five behind the Spaniard."Being number two is not really something I think about. What I am more concerned about is playing well here," he said. "If I play well then the world ranking will take care of itself."
Mickelson teed-off here last year for the first time and struggled with the heat and humidity, and is determined to do better this time round. "It is a tournament that I would very much like to win because I want to start playing more and winning more internationally and the Singapore Open is one of the biggest tournaments on a worldwide basis," he said.
