Libyans raid consulate general in Istanbul

Some 200 anti-Gadhafi fighters who were wounded in last year’s uprising and brought to Turkey for treatment raided the Libyan Consulate General in Istanbul after they failed to receive their monthly stipends.The group occupied the building at mid-day on March 23 before proceeding to wave a Libyan flag from the window.
Police later entered the building and detained members of the group.
The group occasionally demonstrates in front of the consulate building in Gümüşsuyu.
