Kremlin Palace hosts Turkish dance troupe

The Fire of Anatolia, a Turkish troupe which has danced for audiences around the world, performed a show at the Kremlin Palace on Oct. 18. Mustafa Erdoğan, the artistic director of the dance group, said the interest of Russian people in Turkish culture and music was on the rise. This will be the eighth Moscow tour of the show. 

Erdoğan said Russians were very interested in the Turkish dance and culture and this made them very happy. The canceling of the visa application was also an advantage, he added and this contributed to the tourism between the two countries. Noting that with the cultural events they were building a bridge, Erdoğan said they were proud of this situation.

The team has performed in Russia a total of eight times and at the Kremlin Palace three times. Erdoğan said there were also dance lessons in the schools in Russia. For them everyone is part of dance and dancing culture. 

This time the team has performed 11 times and they will move to St. Petersburg and continue the tour in Russia with more shows. “We are proud to present Turkey like this,” Erdoğan said.
