Jazz fest to host Parlato, Akinmusire

Two young shining stars of the jazz scene, Gretchen Parlato and Ambrose Akinmusire, will meet on stage in the courtyard of the Istanbul Archaeological Museum tonight. The concert starts at 8:45 p.m. and tickets are available at Biletix booths.

Akinmusire is considered to be one of the most successful trumpeters in recent years. Parlo’s 2009 album “In a Dream” has been referred to as the most enchanting jazz album of the year. Tonight these two young stars perform one after another in a magical night of jazz at the 19th Istanbul Jazz Festival.
