Italian regulator warns on sovereign funds

“Sovereign funds can have a stabilizing function in a period when there is little liquidity, but their intervention can take different forms, friendly, or hostile and aggressive,” Lamberto Cardia wrote in the Italian newspaper. “It would be useful to have a defense mechanism to protect strategic national interests.”
