Istanbul to host International Ethno Music Festival

Istanbul will host the International Ethno Music Festival on April 1.
The festival, organized by the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality for the first time, will bring together artists from around the world and will run through April 3 at the Cemal Reşit Rey Concert Hall (CRR).
Sixteen musicians from six countries are set to participate in the festival including Anne-Mari O’Farrell from Ireland, Brendan Power from the U.K., Ross Daly from Greece, and Keyvan Chemirani from France.
Turkish musicians taking part will include Bora Uymaz, Şirin Pancaroğlu, Tolga Akşit and Muhlis Berberoğlu.
On the opening day of the festival songs in several languages will be performed to draw attention to the sufferings of Rohingya and war-torn countries across the world.
Entry to all festival events will be free of charge.
