Apple is set to offer Turkish Q and F keyboards on iPad and iPhone products after Turkish President Abdullah Gül requested the addition during a visit to Silicon Valley in May, daily Vatan reported today.
Gül reportedly complained that the pop-up keyboards on Apple products did not include the Turkish characters “Ş,” “Ğ,” “Ç,” “Ü,” “Ö” and “İ” when he met with Apple's chief executive officer, Tim Cook.
Cook promised to rectify the issue after he realized that users could only cause the Turkish letters to appear by holding down the “S,” “G,” “C,” “U,” “O” and “I” buttons for a period of time.
Apple's new operating system, which will officially be presented in September for the first time, will include the F and Q keyboards with Turkish characters, reports said.
