Hector Cuper ends journey with Turkey’s Orduspor

Orduspor has officially parted ways with coach Hector Cuper, signing on with Cevat Güler instead, according to a statement released by the club.Cuper and Orduspor mutually agreed to end their collaboration, the statement read, adding that the team was grateful to Cuper for all his contributions to the club.
Güler will begin working with the team tomorrow in the week’s first training ahead of the match against Kasımpaşaspor. Güler will be accompanied by his own crew of six. Cuper is expected to say goodbye to the team on the same day, an hour before training begins.
Orduspor is struggling to remain in the Super League, with a Fenerbhaçe face-off looming in the near future, a challenge they will face without fan support due to a previously settled punishment. The statement assured fans that the club officials were doing their best to find a way around the punishment, or to remove it.
The statement further called for fans to support the team
in the remaining five weeks of the league.
