A number of houses and offices were flooded following the heavy rain lasting one hour today in the southern province of Adana, the private broadcaster Cnntürk reported on its website.
Vehicles broke down on the roads due to the water level, which reportedly reached up to 40 centimeters on the streets.
A mother and her daugther were trapped in a house that was full of water at a height of two metres. Rescue officers were immediately dispatched to the house and rescued the two, after the house's electricity was cut by officals to avoid a more dangerous situation.
