Hackers lay waste to World of Warcraft cities, murder every character

An unidentified group of hackers allegedly discovered a way to murder every single character in several World of Warcraft cyber cities, leaving behind millions of virtual corpses, according to the BBC.
 
The hackers reportedly managed to create a character capable of not only killing every users' characters, but also characters made and controlled by the game itself.
 
Officials of Blizzard, the company that created the game, said they were taking the issue "very seriously," BBC reported.
 
Blizzard said hackers should not be able to repeat the attack now that officials have taken the necessary steps toward fixing the problem.
 
Even characters capable of "reincarnation" have been murdered again by the hackers, the report said.
 
Several WoW cities were hit during the cyber attack.
