Gümüşlük welcomes classical musicians

The Gümüşlük Classical music festival started at Eklisia Church with a concert by the Bilkent Symphony Orchestra and Turkey’s leading concert pianist Gülsin Onay.

Onay and Bilkent Symphony Orchestra performed the piano concerto “A minor Op. 16 interval” by E. Grieg and Dvorak’s “Symphony No. 9 in E Minor from the New World.”
The festival will continue with Bremerhaven Stadttheater Ballet from Germany dancing “Carmina Burana” in concert on July 23 and 24.
The Ahmet Adnan Saygun Bodrum Piano Competition will be held from July 20 to 24. The competition, which is held with the support of the Bodrum Municipality, will feature Onay, Levendoğlu, Zilberstein, de Jong, İbrahim Yazıcı and Julian Gorus as jury members. The competition will be open to all young people from Turkey and abroad.
Among the festival guests will be Russian Lilya Ziberstein, Lithuanian Muza Rubakycke, British Jonathan Plowright, Dutch Karst de Jong, Scottish Alexander Bailli and Turkish Çağ Erçağ. Besides the Bilkent Symphony Orchestra, Bremerhaven Stadttheater Ballet, and Erol Erdinç Jazz Quartet will be among the performing guests.
