Global bread market reaches $220 billion
Global bread sales increased to more than $220 billion last year, up from $196 billion in 2010, Dr. Hikmet Boyacıoğlu of Okan University told the Anatolia news agency. Some 70 percent of bread sales in 2011 were packaged, and the rest unpackaged, Boyacıoğlu said.
