German retail sales lose 0.2 pct

Economists polled by Dow Jones Newswires had forecast an increase of 0.1 percent, but the February figure nonetheless marked an improvement from the monthly drop of 0.9 percent in January. On a 12-month basis however, sales shed 5.3 percent in February.
