German man travels world by bicycle

Maurice Hajduk, who set off from Germany on his bicycle to see different countries, has arrived in the eastern province of Bitlis’ Ahlat district after four months on the road.
“I went on this tour after finishing my high school education. I cycled 6,700 kilometers before coming to Ahlat,” Hajduk, 19, said, adding that he left Germany on June 12. Hajduk decided to go on a bicycle tour to explore the cultural richness of countries, he told reporters.
Expressing his amazement at Ahlat’s famous Selçuk Graveyard, he said: “It is a wonder of the world. Everyone should see this place.” After his trip through Turkey, Hajduk said he would continue his journey through Asia.
