Fujitsu eyes Turkey to grow
ISTANBUL - Anatolia News Agency
Fujitsu, Japan’s biggest computer services provider, plans to invest in information technology education and network technologies, the firm’s top executive said last week.“We have education services in network technologies [while also] manufacturing high-tech products,” Satoru Hayashi, vice chairman of Fujitsu Siemens Computers, said after a March 9 meeting with Turkish Industry Minister Nihat Ergün in Istanbul. “We would like to bring some investments and services to Turkey.”
Noting that the Japanese giant was planning to expand its market share in emerging countries, including Turkey, he said the firm would participate in the Turkish government’s Fatih project to replace traditional blackboards and textbooks with electronic boards and tablet PCs over the next four years.
“Fujitsu should not miss the chance to invest in Turkey,” said Ergün, noting that the government was ready to support the firm’s projects in the country.
