Four soldiers killed in PKK attacks in Turkey’s east, southeast

Two others were wounded due to an explosion detonated by PKK militants in Diyarbakır’s Hani district.
In addition, one soldier was killed after PKK militants detonated a hand-made explosive during the passage of a military vehicle in the eastern province of Bingöl’s Kiğı district.
Security forces subsequently launched an operation to apprehend the PKK militants.
Elsewhere, one soldier was killed in a mortar attack by PKK militants in the Çukurca district of the eastern province of Hakkari.
One soldier was also wounded and taken to hospital after the explosion of a mine during an operation conducted in the region.
Meanwhile, in the southeastern province of Siirt one soldier was killed and another was wounded due to a lightning strike on a shelter in which they were standing guard.
A village guard was also killed in the same province during an operation that was conducted against PKK militants.
