Four PKK militants ‘neutralized’ in southeastern Turkey

An anti-terror operation was conducted in the rural area of Hakkari’s Oğul village, according to the statement.
Four PKK militants codenamed “Piro Amed,” “Mordem,” “Zagros” and “Cemal” were neutralized during the operation.
Authorities use the word “neutralized” in their statements to imply the militants in question were either killed, wounded or captured.
Meanwhile, three militants were detained by gendarmerie forces in the eastern province of Elazığ on Aug. 31, Doğan News Agency has reported.
The militants were detained by gendarmerie forces during searches conducted for tightened security measurements over the Eid al-Adha holiday.
One of the captured militants were related to the PKK, another two were related with FETÖ/PDY (Fethullahist Terrorist Organization/Parallel State Structure).
Moreover, another anti-terror operation was conducted in the central Anatolian province of Tunceli on Aug. 31.
Gendarmerie Special Forces Units detected a hand-made bomb, which was trapped on the Pertek-Kozak highway.
Gendarmerie forces destroyed a 70-kilogram bomb as part of the operation.
