Four bullets hit helicopter carrying exam papers in Diyarbakır

A Turkish army helicopter came under fire in the southeastern province of Diyarbakır on April 29, apparently from members of the outlawed Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK), security officials have announced.Four bullets hit the helicopter, which was carrying national high school entrance exam papers, in the Lice district of Diyarbakır, according to a statement from the local governor’s office.
The statement added that no one was hurt and the helicopter landed safely at a local gendarmerie command point.
Officials said an operation had been launched to capture those responsible.
