The Turkish Foreign Ministry issued a second travel warning yesterday to Turkish citizens visiting Syria.
"Our citizens were previously advised to avoid traveling to Syria unless it was absolutely necessary," the announcement on the ministry's website read.
"Clashes in Syria have started to cause security concerns on roads near the Turkish border," the new announcement read.
"Therefore, we strongly advise Turkish citizens to avoid using the route between the Cilvegözü/Bab-el Hava border crossing and the city of Homs."
