Finnish unemployment rises to 8.8 percent

A year earlier the jobless rate for April was 6.2 percent, Statistics Finland said in a statement, noting the number of people out of work last month increased by 68,000 year-on-year to 233,000. Seasonally adjusted joblessness rose to 8.2 percent compared to 7.6 percent a month earlier.
