Fethiye hosts Chinese filmmakers

A team of Chinese filmmakers visit the historical places in Fethiye and search for locations for their film.

The western province of Muğla’s Fethiye district has hosted Chinese filmmakers for the first Chinese film made in Turkey. The film titled “Love, But Not Love” will be made in historic places in the town. The film has been inspired by Hu Bo’s novel with the same name, which was previously shot as a TV series.

A Chinese team of four people have visited the town. They examined the areas suitable for filmmaking in Amintas Rock Graves and Çalış Beach.

The film, supported by the Culture and Tourism Ministry and Beijing Tourism Office, will be sent to international festivals.  Its script will be finished in one-two months, according to producers. They expect that the film will reach nearly 50 million people on the Internet in the next three-four years.
