Fenerbahçe to meet PSV in friendly game

The PSV challenge will be an important step for Fenerbahçe towards next week’s Salzburg game in the Champions League second qualifying round.
Fenerbahçe makes its home debut in the new football campaign with a friendly game against PSV today.The Istanbul team will host its Dutch opponent at the Şükrü Saracoğlu Stadium with its new signings and new coach Ersun Yanal meeting the fans for the first time at their Kadıköy home.
Last week’s 4-0 win over Azerbaijan’s Lankaran marked the start of the season for Fenerbahçe, and Yanal, who was signed on a one-year deal after Aykut Kocaman resigned, said that there was lots of room for improvement. The Fenerbahçe vs. PSV game starts at 9:45 p.m.
“This is not enough for us,” Yanal told Doğan news agency. “That was the first game of the 2013-2014 season. We are trying to form a team that will play every game to win.” The PSV game means the most important preparation before next week’s Salzburg game in the Champions League second qualifying round. “It will be a tough game against an important team from an important country in European football,” Yanal said.
