Fenerbahçe will try to end its dismal run in away games when the Istanbul club visits Bursaspor tonight.Defending champion Fenerbahçe, which is going through a rough period due to the ongoing match-fixing investigation, has not won in its last four games on the road.
Since breaking the club record with 12 straight away victories after winning at Mersin İdman Yurdu away in week six of the season, Fenerbahçe has drawn twice and lost two, including the 3-1 loss midweek against archrival Galatasaray. In those away games, the club could score only three goals while conceding seven.
Host Bursaspor is no better than Fenerbahçe. The 2009-2010 the champion missed the glory of that season and only won once in its last nine league games.
The statistics back Fenerbahçe against Bursaspor. Tonight’s match will be the 85th league game between the two clubs and the Istanbul side has 41 victories, while Bursaspor has only 13. Both games ended in a draw last season; 1-1 in Bursa and 0-0 in Istanbul.
The game kicks off at 8 p.m. and will be covered live by official broadcaster Lig TV.
