Fener, Galatasaray renew rivalry on basketball court

Fenerbahçe Ülker and Galatasaray Medical Park will renew their rivalry on the basketball court today.

The two teams will meet in a Beko Basketball League match at the Ülker Arena tonight, three days after the two Istanbul rivals met in a heated football derby.

Galatasaray and Fenerbahçe Ülker occupy the top two spots in the league standings with nine wins out of 10 matches, so something will have to give tonight.

Galatasaray will be hurt by news that guard Göksenin Köksal will be out for the rest of the season due to damaged cruciate ligaments. The Lions also recently lost American guard Henry Domercant to a knee injury as well.

Also today, third Banvit will meet Türk Telekom, Tofaş will host Antalya BB, TED Kolejliler will meet Erdemir, Royal Gaziantep will take on Hacettepe and Pınar Karşıyaka will play against Aliağa Petkim.
