Fazıl Say to play in Frankfurt

World-renowned Turkish composer and pianist Fazıl Say is set to meet with German audiences in Frankfurt on Nov. 10 and 11.The concerts will be held within the framework of the “Artist in Residence Week.” The first concert will be titled “Fazıl Say Night,” with Say giving the German premiere of his composition “Universe Symphony.”
The symphony will be interpreted by conductor Howard Griffiths and the Frankfurt Radio Symphony Orchestra, and the night will also cover other works by Say such as the “Hezarfen Concerto.”
He will also play Beethoven’s “Piano Sonata No. 14,” Chopin’s “3rd Nocturne,” and Ulvi Cemal Erkin’s “Piano Quintet.”
