Facebook group protests lack of police rights

Members of the Police Officers Solidarity Group, a group on Facebook supposedly founded by Turkish police officers, have blacked out their profile picture to protest the “lack of rights” for police officers.

The Facebook group chose to draw attention to the sensitive issue instead of celebrating April 10, the 167th anniversary of the foundation of the Turkish police forces.
