Envoy to UN returns Ankara

ANKARA
Ertuğrul Apakan, Turkey’s permanent representative at the United Nations, has returned to Ankara after completing three years of service in New York, according to a decree that reshuffled ambassadors published at the Official Gazette.

Turkey’s ambassadors to South Africa and Serbia, Ahmet Vakur Gökdenizler and Ali Rıza Çolak, have been returned to the Foreign Ministry. Kaan Esener will replace Gökdenizler and Mehmet Kemal Bozay will replace Çolak, according to the decree.

The decree did not include the successor of Apakan.
