Eight dead, 27 injured in Ukraine bus crash

Eight people, including a child, were killed on Thursday and another 27 injured when two buses collided in Ukraine.
 
The crash occurred when a Bulgaria-bound bus carrying Belarussian tourists, including 40 teenagers under the age of 16, collided with a Ukrainian passenger bus.
 
The accident took place in northwest Ukraine.
 
"Eight people were killed in the collision, including a child" born in 2000, the regional emergency service said in a statement without identifying the victim.
 
It added that those injured, including 21 Belarussians, were hospitalised.
 
The bus carrying the teenagers drove into woods after veering off the road, pictures posted on the website of the emergencies service showed.
 
The bodies of several victims could be seen lying by the side of the road, covered by blankets.
 
Besides two drivers and teenagers, the Bulgaria-bound couch carried 10 adults.
