Egyptian premier Hisham Qandil vowed today to intensify Cairo's efforts to secure a truce and end Israel's "aggression" in Gaza, after a strike killed two as he visited the strip."Egypt will not hesitate to intensify its efforts and make sacrifices to stop this aggression and achieve a lasting truce," he said at a press conference in Gaza City's Shifa hospital after seeing some victims from the latest strike.
Israel strikes 'kill 2 in Gaza' as Egypt PM visits
Israeli war planes bombed northern Gaza on Friday morning, killing two as Egyptian Prime Minister Hisham Qandil paid a visit, Palestinian security sources and medics told AFP.
"The occupation's planes bombed a group of citizens in the Nazila area" in northern Gaza, the source said, shortly after Israel accused Hamas of failing to observe a ceasefire during the Egyptian premier's visit.
