ISTANBUL – Doğan News Agency
Doğan TV chairwoman Arzuhan Doğan Yalçındağ (C) addresses the local women entrepreneurs during a meeting in the eastern province of Malatya yesterday.
From this point forward the major powers in Turkey will be its entrepreneurial women and its youth, Doğan TV Holding Chairwoman Arzuhan Doğan Yalçındağ has said, speaking at a meeting with female entrepreneurs in the eastern province of Malatya.Yalçındağ said Turkey has been able to achieve success due to the entrepreneurial spirit, positive thinking and creative capacity of its business people.
“After this we women will have more responsibilities. We will do our best in the business world without expecting help from anyone. In the future Turkey will have two major powers, its entrepreneurial women and its youth,” she said.
Yalçındağ added that she expects Turkey to develop even more in the near future, as more than 50 percent of its population is under the age of 30. “We believe in this young population,” she said.
Turkey is similar to other developing countries in having a large youth population, Yalcındağ said. “[However,] our population is not as large as that of Brazil, Russia or India. Considering this, it seems to me that the path Turkey has taken is like a miracle.”
Hedef Alliance Chairman Ethem Sancak was also present at the meeting. Malatya Trade and Industry Chamber Chairman Hasan Hüseyin Erkoç presented Yalçındağ and Sancak with a gift of locla fruits. Yalçındağ also participated in an episode of CNN Türk’s television program “Tomorow in Anatolia” shot in Malatya.
