Beşiktaş hopes to keep the pace with leader Galatasaray in the Spor Toto Super League when it visits Medical Park Antalyaspor tonight. The Black Eagles are third with 39 points, trailing Galatasaray by seven points. Fenerbahçe is second with 42 points.
Hoping to maintain its 10-week unbeaten run, Beşiktaş will need to open up a solid Antalyaspor defense, which has only conceded 17 goals so far this year. The Mediterranean side is second only to Galatasaray (15) in that department.
Beşiktaş will be again without its superstar Ricardo Quaresma, who has been out for a month. Czech defender Tomas Sivok, however, returned from an injury and is likely to be available for selection. In another match tonight, relegation-battling Gaziantepspor will host Mersin İdman Yurdu, who have not won in five matches since last month’s 5-3 win over Karabük.Both matches will start at 8 p.m.
