Proceedings on Zengin’s case are ongoing at the police headquarters.
Maçka was the scene of clashes between security forces and outlawed Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) militants earlier this month.
On Aug. 11, PKK members had killed 15-year-old local boy Eren Bülbül and Gendarmerie Master Sgt. Ferhat Gedik in an armed clash.
