Deputy Kürkçü suffers heart attack during HDP convention in Ankara

Mersin deputy Ertuğrul Kürkçü suffered a heart attack today during the convention of the People’s Democratic Party (HDP) in Ankara, Hürriyet has reported.
 
He was immediately taken to hospital after adressing the crowd as a candidate for the chairpersonship of the party.

Kürkçü, who resigned from the Peace and Democracy Party (BDP) to join the HDP last week, has been taken to Güven Hospital in Ankara where an angio will be performed.
 
After his visit to Kürkçü at hospital, Istanbul deputy Sırrı Süreyya Önder confirmed the heart attack diagnosis and said Kürkçü had earlier been given a stent.

Deputy Sebahat Tuncel also visited Kürkçü at the hospital.
