Davutoğlu to pay first visit abroad as PM to Turkish Cyprus

Turkey’s Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu will pay his first visit abroad to North Cyprus and Azerbaijan later this month, in line with the country’s state traditions.Davutoğlu will be visit Turkish Cyprus on Sept. 16 and then Baku, Azerbaijan, from Sept. 19-20, sources from the Prime Ministry office told the state-run Anadolu Agency on Sept. 9.
Davutoğlu, the former foreign minister, succeeded now-President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan as both the ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) leader and prime minister after the latter was elected as the head of state on Aug. 10.
Also in line with the same customs, Erdoğan’s first itineraries abroad were be North Cyprus and Azerbaijan in early September.
