The Ankara 6th Criminal Court of Peace has lifted a five-day media ban on the deadly Oct. 10 Ankara bombing upon a request from the Ankara Chief Prosecutor’s Office.

An Ankara court issued on Oct. 14 a broad media ban over the investigation into the Ankara suicide attack that encapsulated “all kinds of news, interviews, criticism and similar publications in print, visual, social media and all kinds of media on the Internet.”

On Oct. 12, a restriction decision was also given regarding the investigation following a prosecutor’s demand.

The Oct. 10 Ankara bombing left at least 102 dead and hundreds wounded, marking one of the deadliest attacks in the country’s history.
