Consecutive meetings planned in Greece and Turkey for political solution in Cyprus

Representatives of Turkish and Greek Cypriot leaders will visit Greece and Turkey respectively in an attempt to find a political solution on the island, Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu and his Greek counterpart Evangelos Venizelos agreed on Monday at a meeting in New York.Davutoğlu and Venizelos met for more than an hour in New York on the sidelines of the U.N. General Assembly meetings.
The two foreign ministers agreed that negotiations over a solution for the island should restart as soon as possible, and that the process would be helped if Greek and Turkish Cypriot representatives visited both Turkey and Greece.
They also discussed regional issues at the New York meeting, including the crisis in Syria.
Meanwhile, the increasing of mutual trade and investments and the developing of cooperation in the fight against terror were other issues on the agenda.
