Istanbul set to shiver as cold weather sweeps in
Volkan Şahin – ISTANBUL
A cold weather front sweeping in from the Balkans hit Turkey on Nov. 20, causing temperatures to drop significantly.
Meteorologist Abdullah Kahraman said temperatures across Turkey would be below normal.
“Temperatures will drop at a significant rate. Tomorrow [Nov. 21], the city center will be at 6-7 degrees Celsius,” he said.
He said heavy rainfall will continue until Nov. 22, adding that snowfall across Turkey was expected, except the coastal, western and southeastern provinces of the country.
