Coffee shop in southeast Turkey gives free drinks for reading books

As part of the “Turkey is reading” campaign, a coffee shop in Kahramanmaraş is serving tea and coffee free of charge to those who read books in the café. People come together at the two-year-old coffee shop and have conversations about culture, art and literature on pre-determined days. There are also set reading hours for students, to keep alive the “coffee shop” concept. On “reading aloud days,” people who read aloud are given books to keep.
