Cameristi Della Scala on stage with Turkish musicians

ISTANBUL
Famous chamber orchestra Cameristi Della Scala, which was founded in 1982 by musicians from the orchestra of Teatro alla Scala, will take the stage at Istanbul’s Cemal Reşit Rey (CRR) Concert Hall on April 24. The orchestra will perform for the first time with a Turkish conductor, Hakan Şensoy in the concert.

Turkish “kemança” players Derya Türkan and Hatice Doğan Sevinç will accompany the orchestra in the second part of the concert, which will feature the world premiere of famous composer Münir Nurettin Beken’s new concerto.

The orchestra’s repertoire includes the principal compositions for chamber orchestras from the 18th century to today, including particular attention to lesser known Italian instrumental pieces of the 19th century, often characterized by solo parts of great virtuosity that fit well with the instrument characteristics of the group’s soloists, all first musicians in the first sections of the La Scala Philharmonic Orchestra and also well-known concert performers at international level.

Tickets for the concert are available at Biletix.
