‘Butterfly’s Dream’ makes gala in Dubai

A gala event to mark the opening of Yılmaz Erdogan’s film “Kelebeğin Rüyasi” (Butterfly’s Dream) has been held in Dubai. Fans of lead actor Kivanc Tatlitug flocked to the gala event, which was also aired online on Facebook, daily Hürriyet reported. As well as the United Arab Emirates (UAE), the film simultaneously opened across Europe and the Middle East.The movie tells the story of two unknown poets, Rüştü Onur and Muzaffer Tayyip Uslu – played by Mert Fırat and Kivanc Tatlitug, respectively – living in World War II-era Zonguldak, Turkey. The movie reflects the poet’s lives, loves and dreams of a brilliant future. The cast features a host of famous Turkish acting talent, including Kıvanç Tatlıtuğ, Belçim Bilgin, Mert Fırat and Zeynep Farah Abdullah. The movie has previously been shown in London and Los Angeles.
