British tourists welcomed with ‘water arch’ in Turkey

MUĞLA - Anadolu Agency

British tourists who flew from the United Kingtom to Turkey’s popular Aegean holiday resort town of Bodrum on the first direct flight were welcomed at the airport with a water arch, Anadolu Agency reported on June 14.

Turkish Airlines has begun direct flights between London’s Gatwick Airport and Milas-Bodrum airport, which will be offered twice weekly during the summer.

The first flight carrying 98 British and Turkish passengers, including a baby, were presented with a special show at the Turkish airport.

Fire trucks created an arch of water over the plane as it approached the gate. Airport and airline officials also presented the passengers with flowers and cake to mark the occasion.
