British tourist drowns in Turkey’s Antalya

A 66-year-old British tourist has drowned in the Alanya district of the southern province of Antalya.

John Leitch, who was on a holiday in the town of Mahmutlar, went swimming and suddenly started floundering in the sea.

Other tourists on the beach noticed he was in difficulty and brought him to the beach.

Leitch was pronounced dead according to the initial examination of the medical teams.

The prosecutor had a search conducted in the area and Leitch’s body was taken to Alanya Municipality Cemetery’s mortuary.
