Bride handcuffs groom during wedding ceremony in central Turkey
ISTANBUL
Eyebrows were raised at a wedding in the Central Anatolian province of Konya, after the bride handcuffed her husband-to-be as part of their wedding ceremony, Doğan News Agency reported on Dec. 13.
Öznur Ün and Muhammet Yıldız, both police officers at the Konya Public Security Directorate, put on a unique show when Ün brought her spouse-to-be to the hall wearing handcuffs and with his head bent forward.
Ün released Yıldız before they sat down to sign the marriage certificate wedding vows. But after sitting down Ün once again handcuffed Yıldız, this time with a romantic twist: Handcuffing the two of them together.
The registrar then uncuffed them before finally approving the marriage.
