Breaths shaping the music
Hodja Nasreddin and Tim Hodgkinson base their philosophy on “breath,” setting out to define the “sound” without overlooking the silence in the moment that passes between the actual interaction or inspiration and acting on that inspiration.
All the musicians of the ensemble play wind instruments and it is their breath that shapes the music.
Each breath they take balances the sounds and silences of everyday life in Istanbul and further defines the connection between the sounds.
The workshop is limited to the participation of 15 people and requires early booking. The workshop is being held in cooperation with Advanced Studies in Music (MİAM).
