Boat carrying seven capsizes in northern Turkey, 1 dead

At least one person has been killed after a boat carrying up to seven people overturned in a lake in the Black Sea province of Samsun on Jan. 11, Samsun Governor İbrahim Şahin has stated.

“Based on initial information, a boat with six or seven people aboard capsized because of a storm,” Şahin said.

Rescue and emergency teams have been dispatched to the Gıcı Lake to search for survivors.
